• Hardiness Zone:3 to 9
• Black cherry does best in moist, well-drained loam soils.
• Prefers full sun to part shade.
• Drooping clusters of pea-sized cherries, dark red to nearly black; edible, but somewhat tart; ripens in late summer; has some medicinal value.
