Description

Silver maple are common in southern Minnesota, but can be found throughout northern Minnesota especially along riverbanks. They grow to heights of 50 – 80’ or more. They prefer moist, well drained to wet soils. They can tolerate brief flooding and drought. They can also be tapped for syrup.
